So let me tell you what I think is the reason of some rumors you hear about Jews, I think most are coming from people who left the community and it's very understandable that there will always be some people who won’t feel comfortable in any system, I mean no two people are the same so any structure will upset those who find it not aligned to their liking.
What I believe is happening here is like this: 'We' meaning those who are born into or belong to the community are really spoiled/overindulged because of the real closeness that is exclusively enjoyed between the members of the community, now if they don’t find their place within the community, it is very hard for them to just leave the community and start living their lifestyle elsewhere, it's very painful to leave such value behind, so whom can they blame for this problem? should they get angry with and blame themselves? so they are finding themselves in a love/hate relationship where they take a mission upon themselves to 'fix' the community according to their likings.
