Generally people jump to meds, but it's not good long term because the drugs can have bad side effects like apetite suppression and nausea. The easiest way to live with it is to make sure most of the activities are engaging otherwise concentration will be very difficult. Teaching in an interesting way is sure to help. If it's a more serious case, medication is probably advisable.

he needs more personal attention. try private lessons with a chavrusa. everyone can be interested in chumash and gemara, it just needs to be brought to life. we always had that one rebbi who made us more interested with stories. If it's very dry, the child wil not be able to focus properly.

also, some tips. omega-3 fatty acids can boost attention. Healthy diet is also important. organization is key.

remember, ADHD meds are stimulants. So the goal is to stimulate the child without the use of medication

it's best if the rebbi is notified so as to be less strict and more willing to give praise.
